I am an associate professor in the Departments of Communication and Gender & Women's Studies at the University of Delaware. I teach and conduct research on public understandings of and engagements with health, science, and technology. My specific research areas relate to digital culture and online pregnancy and mothering support; transmedia activism in the environmental health and environmental justice movements; and science, media, and public opinion.
